Matt Cotton

Rooted’s founder, Matt Cotton, brings nearly a decade of experience growing brands through the Foodservice channel.

Matt has worked as Director of Foodservice Sales for two startups, Farmwise (acquired by B&G Foods) and Buen Sabor, helping both to turn Foodservice from scratch into strong businesses in under a year. He deepened his understanding of the industry by spearheading Foodservice sales for PGI, a 50-million-dollar company. Matt has done extensive work with most of the industry’s major distributors and management companies, and he has sales experience in nearly every Foodservice category, specializing in College & University, Business & Industry, Healthcare & Convenience.

Kristi helped grow a CPG startup Balance the Superfood Shot to become a national brand.

As Director of Sales for CPG startup Balance the Superfood Shot, Kristi strategically built relationships, sales, and distribution to grow them to becoming a national brand and helped them win the Whole Foods Market Supplier of the Year award.

Kristi lives in Kansas City, MO and enjoys rock climbing, traveling, creating unique recipes and craft cocktails, and hiking new trails with her husband and kids.

Lynne is a people and product connector with over 35 years of foodservice sales experience, spanning both large CPG giants like General Mills and Ocean Spray Cranberries.

Lynne is a people and product connector with over 35 years of foodservice sales experience, spanning both large CPG giants like General Mills and Ocean Spray Cranberries, as well as nimble, entrepreneurial brands such as Monsoon Kitchens. A fierce advocate for female empowerment, Lynne is a founding board member of the Foodservice Women’s Alliance, where she champions the advancement of women across the industry. When she’s not building relationships or driving results, you’ll find her cruising the beach in her vintage red 1979 Jeep CJ7 with her best pal Lilly, traveling the world and savoring fabulous moments at home with her girlfriends and Australian wingman Adrian.

Chuck takes pride in building meaningful relationships at both the distributor and operator levels, and in identifying the right products to help customers grow their business. Based in the Bay Area, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching his son’s baseball games, and cheering on the Pitt Panthers and Golden State Warriors.

Kristina graduated from the French Culinary Institute in 2012 and started her career in the Food & Beverage industry as a Private Chef, creating unique dining experiences.

In 2016, she shifted her passion toward specialty sales, where she found a new way to connect people with great food. Now, as the Director of Sales for Texas and Southwest at Rooted Food Sales, she is focused on building strong partnerships and bringing high-quality, all-natural foods to the market. She loves the challenge of finding the right solutions for both clients and consumers, and she thrives on the relationships that make this industry so rewarding. Outside of work, she loves to run, read, and spend time with her husband and three daughters.

Lindsay is based in Chicago, a city she loves for its vibrant energy and diverse opportunities. Outside of her professional life, Lindsay is passionate about spending quality time with her family and friends, exploring new destinations, and staying active through fitness.

For 7+ years, Clarissa has built and managed organizational and sales systems with a specialty in small businesses.

Always naturally organized, Clarissa developed a particular love for operations while working in order processing at an outdoor gear company in Utah. Since then, she has built and managed organizational and sales systems for a number of small businesses along the West and East Coast. In her spare time, she enjoys performing, hiking, cooking, film production and cuddles with her furbaby, Luna.

Shawn's expertise has been instrumental in launching products for new brands, making significant contributions to the industry's growth and innovation, along with his passion for the culinary industry. He lives in Beaverton, OR and enjoys golf, motorcycle rides on his cruiser, and is an avid football fan. He also loves entertaining, spending time with his wife and daughters and being the family comedian.

From corn dogs to plant-based shrimp, she’s worked with diverse products and brands, building strong relationships and delivering comprehensive solutions. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Andrea now proudly calls Jacksonville, Florida home (DUUUVAL!). A devoted fan of the Cavaliers, Guardians, and Jaguars, she’s often cheering on her favorite teams, despite their ups and downs. When not following sports, Andrea enjoys traveling in her RV with her husband and their seven pets, exploring new destinations, discovering exciting hiking spots, and seeking out delicious food adventures.
